The Department of Art+Design

Welcome.

The Anderson University Department of Art+Design offers four distinct majors, including visual communication design, fine arts studio, fine arts glass and visual arts education. Our students gain experience through intensive studio practice, professional internships, and by working closely with a strong faculty of professional artists and designers. Come discover our program.

In the Art Department I have been given freedom to explore my own fields of study. I enjoy being able to take my education into my own hands.

Some of my valuable experiences as an art major are the breaking in period to AU's art department. The foundation classes are the most exciting, that is when my learning curve rocketed.

My internship at Hatch Show Print in Nashville played a key role in my personal development and created the foundation for my senior work as a design student.

I like being a Fine Arts major at a liberal arts university because I am passionate about learning. Coming to AU gives me the opportunity to get a well-rounded art education.
