Welcome.

The Anderson University Department of Art+Design offers four distinct majors, including visual communication design, fine arts studio, fine arts glass and visual arts education. Our students gain experience through intensive studio practice, professional internships, and by working closely with a strong faculty of professional artists and designers. Art+Design News

The foundations courses at AU have given me the opportunity to look around the world with creative questions; it has allowed me to build a strong root to my own art and understand who I am as an individual Christian artist.
My internship helped me to see what life might be like in the future; it also helped me to realize some of the ways I need to improve as a designer before becoming a true professional.
One of my most valuable experiences has been working alongside clients as part of my course work. It's a great opportunity to creatively solve problems while learning design principles.
I will always appreciate the personal attention I received in the foundation courses. The process of learning to see with new eyes, what is actually there instead of what I thought was life changing.
