Special Opportunities

Through the Fine Arts Glass program at Anderson University, students are provided with opportunities for extended field study work, including visits to the Corning Museum of Glass in New York. Professional experiences are offered through required internships, visiting artists, and residencies.

Majors regularly take part in outdoor, hot glass demonstrations within the local community and weekly "Hot Glass Nights" on campus. Studio equipment includes two furnaces, three glory holes, three benches, eight kilns, a flame working area, and a wide variety of cold working equipment.

For more than 20 years, the Fine Arts Glass program has earned a reputation for producing motivated, responsible individuals exemplary in their field as inspiring educators, designers for companies such as Steuben and Blenko, and nationally recognized artists.
