Arlon Bayliss

Arlon Bayliss Bio
Arlon Bayliss, professor of art, runs the glass program and teaches courses in both glass and ceramics.

Bayliss's public art projects include outdoor sculptures such as AU's Helios and The Crystal Arch in Anderson, and large-scale installations such as Flight Wave, at the Indianapolis International Airport. Bayliss works collaboratively, involving colleagues, graduates, and students in the development, fabrication, and installation of his work.

Bayliss studied at the Royal College of Art in London. His artwork is included in collections and exhibitions worldwide. He has designed glass for companies in Germany and Italy, and is currently designing for Blenko Glass in the U.S. 

Arlon Bayliss has been at Anderson University since 1990.

  • 2010:  Guest Speaker, Glass Art Society Annual Conference, Louisville, Ky.
  • 2008:  Completed Flight Wave: new Indianapolis International Airport
  • 2007:  Established Bayliss Design Team
