Audio/Video/Cinema Production

Audio/Video/Cinema Production emphasizes radio and television production in the broadcasting center studios as preparation for careers in production and management.

Marks of distinction

Broadcast Productions majors have unparalleled access to equipment as undergraduate students. Rather than having to wait until their senior year to get hands-on experience, students may find themselves in the studio as early as their freshman year using fully-professional, broadcast-quality equipment. By the time they graduate, all students will have worked on multiple professional productions—an experience most don't get until entering the professional world.

Practical experience includes:

  • Work in the university's commercial FM radio station, WQME
  • The student-supported television production facility, Covenant Productions
  • Internships with other radio and television stations

For students interested in a career in film, the university offers a semester-long program in Hollywood with the Los Angeles Film Studios Center.
