Theatre Arts

The Theatre Arts Program concentrates on producing highly skilled artists. As much as is possible, the program is operated as a conservatory, requiring a dedication of time and energies far beyond the confines of the classroom.

Marks of distinction

Our training is specifically geared toward preparing students to seek professional-quality work in the many fields of theatre arts, the pursuit of graduate studies, and/or contributing to the cultural life of their community overall. Our progressive curriculum allows students to build upon introductory level courses and skills with more intensive and specialized courses and skills, while continually integrating study with the discipline and challenge of performance/production.

Practical experience includes:

• Opportunities to direct, manage and produce full-scale productions through Wisdom Tooth Theatre Project
• Workshops and acting courses offered by prominent actors and theatres
• Involvement in 5-6 major productions offered by the Theatre throughout AU’s theatrical season
• Internships with well-known theatres and films schools
