Communication Arts Classes

The following classes are required for the communication arts major and minors in audio/video/cinema production, public relations, and speech communication. In addition, the department offers classes for students interested in teaching speech communication through the language arts teaching major. Communication Arts Major (52 hours) — The communication arts major prepares students for careers in professional communication. All majors take the core courses and courses in one area of specialization.

Language Arts Teaching Major — To fulfill requirements for teaching speech communication at the secondary level, students complete courses in English, speech communication, and professional education.
