The majors offered in this department are based on curriculum guidelines of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), providing preparation for both graduate school and employment.
Description of Majors
Solo or Duo
Not only do our majors and minors provide students with a complete package of technical knowledge, but they also work well with any other areas of study.
The computer science major is great for students interested in designing and developing software with the broadest emphasis on core computer science theory and programming. The computer science minor is well-suited for math and science majors, as well as those students pursuing a career in medicine and life sciences.

Computer Science – Math
The computer science – math (CS-Math) major is well suited for students intrigued by applying computer science to math-intensive applications. CS-Math majors excel in careers from scientific computing to game programming. CS-Math students are also recognized as math majors.
The information systems major provides the perfect combination of business an technology through selected coursework. The information systems minor is an excellent choice for students interested in accounting, graphic design, nursing, or law.
