Overview
The financial planning complementary major at Anderson University prepares students for a career in financial planning through hands-on course work and ensuring they are educated to industry standards. The Falls School of Business will equip students with strong ethics so they can serve everyone they meet.
The Certified Financial Planner™ designation is the industry standard in the financial planning industry. Completion of AU’s finanical planning program satisfies the CFP Board coursework requirement, which allows graduates to take their certification exam.

Because financial planning is a complimentary major, all students across campus can enroll! This program will benefit Falls School of Business majors, as well those involved in other departments.
Opportunities
Students will gain experience in the STAR Bank Trading Room, as well as through case studies and comprehensive education in the classroom through projects and dynamic discussions. Students will learn how to develop real financial plans and will be prepared for a rewarding career through AU’s financial planning program.

Demand for personal financial advisors is expected to grow at a faster than average rate of 15% through 2031, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
