Hippensteel is the Wellness Program Director at the Kardatzke Wellness Center. She brings her knowledge and 15 years of experience working as program director at the San Diego Tech Center Corporate Fitness Center in California. She develops fitness and wellness activities for faculty, staff and students. She also teaches courses for the exercise science majors which prepare them to work as personal trainers and group exercise leaders at the Wellness Center. Hippensteel spends her summers hiking on the Appalachian Trail and in the mountains of Washington and New Mexico. She is a member of her church chancel and handbell choirs and she plays the mandolin.
Hippensteel graduated from Anderson University in 1967 with a major in biology and received a Master’s Degree in exercise physiology from Ball State University in 1985.
Hippensteel joined the Department of Kinseiology in 2002.
