Apply to AU School of Music, Theatre, and Dance

1. Submit a completed Application for Admission to the Office of Admissions at Anderson University. (All music majors must be accepted to Anderson University as well as the School of Music, Theatre, and Dance).
2. Submit an application form to the School of Music, Theatre, and Dance at Anderson University. This will open your file, put you in line for an audition and allow the undergraduate music studies office to assist you in the audition process.
   • Music students, submit a Music Admission Audition Form online, or download a PDF version.
   • Musical theatre students, submit a Musical Theatre Audition Form online, or download a PDF version of the Musical Theatre Admission Audition Form.
   • Theatre students, submit a Theatre Audition Form online, or download a PDF version of the Theatre Admission Audition Form.
   • Dance students, submit a Dance Admission Audition form online, or download a PDF version.
   Once your Audition Form is received, we will contact you about the specific time of your audition, interview, and testing. In the meantime, review Audition Information to begin preparing for your audition.
3. Ask a music teacher to submit a recommendation form to the AU School of Music, Theatre, and Dance.
   • Entering freshmen, ask a music teacher (applied music teacher or high school music director) to complete and submit an Entering Freshman Recommendation form online, or download a PDF version.
   • Transfer students, contact the college(s) you have attended and have them send a transcript to the Office of Admissions at Anderson University. Ask one of your music professors to submit a Transfer Student Recommendation form online, or download a PDF version.
4. Review the High School Preparation Guide for a list of recommended experiences that will help students in high school music programs make the transition to college music degree programs.
