Shauna Steele Shauna Steele is the program director for the dance division in the School of Music, Theatre, and Dance at Anderson University. She received her MFA in Dance Performance and Choreography from the University of Michigan. Her professional credits include Windfall Dancers, African American Dance Company, Dancers Studio, Sancocho: Musical and Dance Collage, Ann Arbor Dance Works, and more. Shauna has taught at several universities and is now on the dance faculty at Eastern Michigan University. She and Kristen Farmer co-authored the book Experiencing Dance: A Creative Approach to Dance Appreciation.
 
Matthew Farmer Matthew Farmer is the co-artistic director of RusticGroove Dance Co. and a member of the dance faculty at Hope College and CNADM (Chicago National Association of Dance Masters). He received his MFA from the University of Michigan and his BA from Hope College. He has worked with and/or performed works by Jon Lehrer, Merce Cunningham, Murray Louis, Daniel Nagrin, and many others. His choreography has been produced nationally and internationally. As an instructor, he has toured at home and abroad teaching modern, improvisation, composition, lyrical, and contemporary dance.
 
Kristen Farmer Kristen Farmer is co-artistic director of RusticGroove Dance Co. and has taught many places, including Oakland University, Musiker Productions, Chicago National Association of Dance Masters, and Eisenhower Center for Dance. Performance credits include Patterson Rhythm Pace Dance Company, Eisenhower Dance, Ann Arbor Dance Works, and others. She received her MFA in dance and choreography and is involved in injury prevention research. She recently co-authored a dance appreciation book.
 
Oybek Tashpulatov Oybek Tashpulatov, originally from Tashkent, the Republic of Uzbekistan, graduated from the Uzbek College of Choreography in 1987 where he earned an Associate Degree in Arts. In 1986, he participated in the Gala opening of the first Goodwill games in Moscow. For the next 10 years, he performed as a principal dancer with the State Academic Bolshoi Theatre of Opera and Ballet in Tashkent. In 1997, for his outstanding achievements in the field of dance, Tashpulatov was awarded the national title of “Honored Artist of the Republic of Uzbekistan.” His illustrious career has included tours in Singapore, Thailand, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Germany, and China. He has had the privilege of working with Irina Kolpakova, Vladilen Semenov, Sergei Berezhnoi, Jose Mateo, and many others. He was the principal dancer and ballet master for International Ballet at Carnegie Hall and danced with Ballet Internationale before retiring in 2003. Currently he is the associate director of the Central Indiana Dance Ensemble where he teaches and choreographs. He is on faculty at the Central Indiana Academy of Dance.
