SOAR Information
Below are specific instructions as to what you might need to do before coming to campus and what you might want to bring with you for SOAR.
Check-In Times & Locations
Check-in will take place between 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at Dunn Hall (# 14 on the Campus Map) with a dessert reception starting at 6:30 p.m. in the Olt Student Center (#25 on the Campus Map). If arriving after 7:00 p.m. please come to the Olt Student Center to enjoy dessert and students may register afterwards. What to Bring/ Clothing
Students are encouraged to stay overnight in the residence halls as a part of their SOAR experience. Residence Hall room information will be provided when you arrive. Please bring a pillow, sheets or a sleeping bag, alarm clock, towels and toiletries. Casual clothing is encouraged for the weekend.
Students may also bring a pen, pencil and dictionary to use for the English placement exam. Calculators are not permitted during the Math exam. Click here for SOAR Placement Exam information.
Parent Accommodations
On-campus lodging is available for parents for $15.00 per person during the months of May through August. This fee can be paid when your student checks-in. The fee includes a pillow, blanket, sheets, pillowcase and one set of towels.

Parking
For those attending SOAR in April, parking will available in the visitor lot on 5th Street, with shuttle transportation to the Olt Student Center for registration & dessert reception.
During the months of May-August, SOAR parking is available in the lot located closest to Dunn Hall (labeled Miracle Ave. on the Campus Map).
