Major(s) & Minor(s): Marketing with a concentration in Music Business; Communications with a concentration in Audio/Video/Cinema productions

About Me: Greetings! AU was one of the very first Christian universities to legalize dancing on campus and one of the reasons it looked so great to me.  Beyond that, I am involved with students in free enterprise (SIFE), 10:07, chapel worship band, and of course, the numerous CAB events.  AU has been and continues to be the place that has assisted in making me who I am today.  From the classroom to extracurriculars to the people in general, AU continues to impress me and be the place I call my second home.

Name: Joshua Powell
Year at AU: Junior
Hometown: Vero Beach, Florida
Major(s) & Minor(s): Music Business

Current Activities: Dunn Hall RA, 10:07 coordinator, Dativus member, chapel worship team, Anderson University Chorale, guitar ensemble
Why AU? I come from three or four generations of AU alums, and I never expected to follow them, but God opened all the doors for me to come to Anderson and I couldn't be happier about it. I wanted to go to a school that modeled Christian values and that had a strong, productive music program, and I found the perfect combination here. I felt immediately welcomed at AU and have since come to know that it is home to some of the most amazing people you'll ever know.

This year I am so excited to establish brand new friendships and continue to watch the Lord work on this campus. I hope you enjoy my blogs and I would love to get to know you!

Name: Emily Congdon
Hometown: Bristol, Ind.
Year at AU: Freshman
Major(s) & Minor(s): Undecided

About Me: Hello there! I hail from outside the one-main-street-town of Bristol, Indiana. I want a business spin on my undecided major. My favorite food is ice cream. My favorite pro-football team is the Indianapolis Colts (Go Colts!) and of the Big Ten college teams, I am 100% Boilermaker (Boiler UP!)! As far as hobbies go, I read, snorkel, and play three instruments. I am also a theatre nerd and as such, show tunes take up a lot of space on my iPod. I'm super excited to be attending Anderson University as a freshman this fall and hope that as you explore campus and get to know the amazing people here, you decide to call AU home too.

Name: Lizzie Loveland
Year at AU: Sophomore
Hometown: Aikens, S.C.
Major(s) & Minor(s): Bible & Religion and Dance Business, Minor in Psychology

About Me: Hey everyone! I found out about AU Indiana shortly after my uncertain prayers about attending an Art School that I had been accepted into. God, being the great intervener, took my home-sick-from-school boredom and spontaneously Googled a friend's suggestion of Anderson University (the one in South Carolina). I fortunately looked at, researched, and applied to this one in Indiana. When I compared the two colleges and prayed, I realized I felt called to take the initiative and check out AU, where I instantly felt a peace and excitement. I have found AU to be the perfect home-away-from home. I have had the most amazing Christian fellowship, have been pushed to perform and achieve to my capabilities, and have had a great time doing it all! Imagine taking dance classes and ministry classes for a grade! To keep busy, I enjoy 19 (plus audited) class credit hours, as well as being involved in campus activities and clubs such as: Band of Beauties (a girls' Bible study/accountability group), Work Projects Ministry, my own Anderson homeless ministry, weekend CAB (campus activities board) events, Bible studies, the dance program, 10:07 student worship service, Wednesday Night Girls group, and I plan on rushing the social club Lami Fidel. Anderson University has provided me incredible fellowship and opportunities and encourages us to take on other leadership rolls (one program I completed was fellows student leadership) as well as aspiring to start my own campus club "the Creative Truth" a club dedicated to Bible based fellowship, personal development, and service through the creative arts. At home I ride horses and give riding lessons, am a cook/waitress at an organic natural cafe, and hold a fashion retail position at a funky-hippie- went-country fashion store (my style). I enjoy being with friends and family, silliness, and creative projects. I am passionate about God, dance, horses, sunshine, nature, cooking organic food, fashion design, music, the arts, running around barefoot, climbing trees, and good coffee.
