I really enjoy working in admissions and helping high school students with their families make one of the biggest decisions of their lives. My college experience was fantastic and I want all the students I work with to be able to say the same. AU is a place where I learned who I was and who God wanted me to be. It was filled with exciting opportunities, great relationships, and life-changing moments. I look forward to helping students learn more about AU and what this great community offers.

Education Background
I graduated in December of 2003, majoring in Secondary Education (Social Studies) with a Spanish Teaching minor. I was an RA for 2 years, played on the women's basketball team for 3 years, worked with AUCME and Missions Fellowship for 3 years, went on 5 Tri-S trips, and was involved with the Foreign Language Honor Society.

Personal Bio
I enjoy a lot of things like spending time with my husband, traveling, learning, building relationships, reading non-fiction, and being outdoors.

Favorite Things About AU
Tri-S, the #1 experience that has changed my life more than anything else; ministry opportunities, there's something for everybody and all the opportunities really let me focus in on what I specifically wanted to be involved in; the professors/mentors that I met along the way, they genuinely cared about me, my success, and what I wanted to do with my life; the friendships I made, I grew so much during college and the people that journeyed with me have become lifelong friends; and this place just feels like home!

The College Search Advice
Start your college search early by gathering as much information as you can via the internet, mailing lists, and college fairs. Look at a variety of schools: big, small, in-state, far away, etc. Keep narrowing your list of top schools and try to have it down to 3 by Christmas of your senior year. Financial aid letters are sent in March and can really help you make a decision. Make sure you visit the schools you are considering, and seek out good advice and prayer to help you make that final decision!
