Anderson University is eager to assist students in their efforts to meet college costs. ADVANCE students are eligible to apply for federal financial assistance. The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) must be filed so financial aid eligibility may be determined. FAFSA applications are available at the ADVANCE Program Office.
The following is a partial list of financial aid options available to qualifying ADVANCE students:
Federal Pell Grant
Eligibility for the Federal Pell Grant is based on financial need as determined by the federal government. These funds are restricted to students pursuing their first undergraduate degree.
Veteran Benefits
Students with VA eligibility may be certified to receive Veteran Educational Benefits by registering with Anderson University's Veterans Coordinator in the Registrar s Office.
Federal Stafford Loans
Stafford loans are available to all students regardless of financial need. Borrowing occurs through a bank or other lending agency. Students with financial need may borrow the subsidized Federal Stafford Loan for which the federal government pays the interest while students are in school. Students who do not have financial need may borrow the unsubsidized Federal Stafford Loan for which students pay the interest while they are in school. It is possible to receive both subsidized and unsubsidized loans.
