Alumni Directory

The Office of Alumni Relations is pleased to announce that it will publish a new print alumni directory, Anderson University Alumni Today: 2012, scheduled for release in mid-year. The directory will be the most complete, up-to-date print reference on more than 20,000 alumni worldwide. In addition, it will include photos and personal notes submitted by alumni.

Production will be a collaboration between the Alumni Office and Harris Connect, the nation's leading alumni directory publisher. Beginning in January, Harris Connect will contact alumni via postcard and email to invite them to update or verify their profiles for inclusion in the directory. Alumni will be given a phone number or a Web site they can use to update or verify their information.

Profiles in the 2012 directory will present a preferred mailing and email address for alumni of the undergraduate and graduate schools. In addition, alumni-submitted photos and biographical notes will be featured. The directory will be sold in hardbound and CD-ROM formats. Purchase the AU Alumni Directory online.

To submit information online, you will need the ID # and password from the email alert you received from Harris Connect. If you cannot locate your ID # and password, contact Harris Connect at help@alumniconnections.com and include your full name and AU class year. Submit information online.

The Alumni Office encourages all alumni to take a few moments to participate to make this the most complete and accurate resource possible. The last print alumni directory was published in 2008.

What is the Alumni Directory project?

The Alumni Directory project will pull together information from Anderson University alumni all around the world, allowing alumni to connect with one another using the most up-to-date information on hand. The directory will have two components—a beautifully bound hard cover publication with alphabetical listings by region and by class year, and a multimedia, searchable CD-ROM. In addition, it will not only feature alumni -- names, addresses, affiliations, businesses, networks, and special interests – but also photos and biographical information such as family and employment updates.


Why is AU creating a directory?

As you know, alumni change emails, jobs, and locations often, making it hard to keep up with them. We have therefore partnered with Harris Connect to update contact information for you so that you can keep up-to-date on how you can reconnect with old friends as well as network professionally.


Does it cost anything to participate?

There is no cost associated with participation—simply just a few minutes of your time to update your address, phone number, and other relevant contact information.


How will I be contacted?

You will be contacted via postcards and emails starting in early 2012. To verify your information and provide an opportunity to purchase the directory you may be contacted again by phone.


Can I order just the CD-ROM or just the book?

Who is AU partnering with to create the directory?

AU is partnering with Harris Connect. Harris specializes in alumni and membership publications and the data specifications involved with this type of project.

No, your information is made available only to other alumni and staff of Anderson University.


What is the difference between the CD and the book?

Both the CD and the book will contain the exact same information.  The CD, however, allows you to automatically search for a particular name, school, or region quickly. 


Can I submit my updates online instead of calling the phone number?

Yes. You should receive an email with a URL, an ID number and password that you can use to log in and submit your information.
