Winner of the 2001 American Theatre Critics Steinberg New Play Award, Anton in Show Business conveys the joys, pains, and absurdities of “putting on a play” at the turn of the 21st century, and the desperate optimism of three actresses who hope this will be their “big break.” Rich in satire and slapstick, Anton in Show Business shows us all what theatre does in its best moments — creates community.
