Rodney Nealeigh - 2008 Athlete

Rodney Nealeigh left Pittsburg, Ohio, in 1977 to play baseball at AU. He played just two seasons with the Ravens (1979-80), but was twice named team MVP, All-Conference, and All- American. He was drafted by the Chicago Cubs, playing four seasons professionally. He returned to be an assistant coach under Don Brandon for four seasons.

After baseball, he taught at the Miami County Education Center for 10 years, then worked as an environmental inspector before coming to Anderson to teach. He and his wife, Christine, have four children.
