Chelsea Petersen - Assistant Coach
Petersen is in her second season with the AU women's basketball coaching staff in 2011-12.
She comes to Anderson from University High School in Carmel, which advanced to the Final Four last season in Class A. Petersen has worked with the Indiana Sports Corporation, serving as a media relations assistant for the 2007 AT&T USA Outdoor Track and Field Competition as well as the 2008 Olympic Trials-Diving.
Petersen was a four-year letterman and team captain in basketball at Upper Iowa University at power forward. She was Academic All-Conference in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference and ranks 2nd in defensive rebounds in a season (163), fourth in career rebounds (689) and sixth in free throw percentage in a season (80.3).
She graduated from Upper Iowa University with her bachelor's degree in Communications and Marketing. She is originally from Wyoming, Iowa, where she graduated from Midland High School. She was All-Conference, All-State, Conference MVP and Team MVP at Midland. Petersen is a member of the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA).
