Welcome to Anderson University Raven Women’s Basketball. I am very proud of the quality student-athletes that are a part of our program. In the 2006-07 season AU finished fourth in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference play, earning a berth in the HCAC post-season tournament.

Our main goal is for each student-athlete to earn an outstanding Anderson University degree in their chosen field of study. In addition, our goal on the court is to consistently compete for the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Championship and advance to NCAA Division III tournament play. Of equal importance to these on-court goals is the desire for each athlete to grow spiritually as a result of the campus and team atmosphere. The coaching staff places a great deal of emphasis on unselfishness, playing your role and doing what is best for the good of the team. Yet, we focus on each player by challenging her to improve both physical and mental skills daily in practice.

The coaching staff is excited about the 2007-08 season. We have two All-Conference Team honorees, Kayla Martin and Mel Hawthorne returning for their junior season. In addition, Tiffany Bowsher, an All-Freshmen Team honoree returns with four other sophomores. Lauren Vail is the lone senior on the squad. The 2007-08 roster consists of nine returning players and four talented newcomers.
