David McGough - Assistant Coach
David is in his second season with the AU Track and Field coaching staff in 2011-12.
He earned his bachelor's degree in Journalism from Arkansas State University in 1974 with a minor in Physical Education.
McGough was a Team Captain at Arkansas State, where he ran the sprints. He set school records in the 50 (5.1), 60 (6.0) and 100 (9.3) yard dashes and also competed in the 220 (20.6) and 440 (46.7).
He is originally from Winter Haven, Fla., where he graduated from Winter Haven High School. He currently works at Amera Mortgage in Anderson and attends Sherman Street Church of God.
McGough and his wife reside in Anderson and have two children.
