Choosing a Major
Selecting a major is one of the biggest decisions our students make. Anderson University offers many resources for a student to select his major.
Are you wondering what majors are right for you? Follow these steps:
- Explore careers and majors that may interest you. Our office contains many books and other reference materials about careers and majors
- If you are a Freshman or Sophomore, consider signing up for Career and Life Planning (LART1200) which helps you set your career path. If you are a Junior or Senior, set a one-on-one appointment with a career counselor.
- Talk with your mentor or advisor about your plans
- Once you decide your major, follow the steps to declare a major listed above.
Have you already decided your major? Here are the steps to take to declare a major:
- Make your decision
- Make an appointment with your mentor or advisor to discuss your plans
- Visit the Registrar's Office to complete the Declaration of Major form
- Get registered for classes early
- Complete your program!
