We would recommend that you contact the sponsor for additional information and not rely only on what is posted here, especially if you are interested in attending or securing employment in a specific area.
SEMESTER I - 2008/2009
September 19, 2008 - Accounting Interview Day (AID) - Location: Primos South, Indianapolis. This event is designed for CPA firms, government agencies, and companies seeking accounting program candidates for beginning career positions and internships. The format consists mainly of individual interviews with candidates, however a brief open exchange session takes place so that all the participating candidates and organizations may have the opportunity to meet one another. November 5, 2008 - Healthcare Career Day (HCD) - Location: Anderson University in OC Lewis Gymnasium. Open to all students interested in working in the health care field, including the following majors: athletic training, business, communications, exercise science, graphic design, health care, marketing, nursing, social work, etc. This on-campus job fair opportunity allows students to network with employers from around the midwest and also has the chance to interview for open positions. Connecting for summer employment and internships is also encouraged. Students should have an up-to-date résumé and/or business card to hand out as they meet with these employers. Primarily targeted to Juniors and Seniors, but under classmen can gain a wealth of experience and information as well. This is an AU sponsored job fair. November 19, 2008 - Indiana Multicultural Job Fair - Location: IUPUI Campus Center, Indianapolis. Open to all majors, the Indiana Multicultural Job Fair will be a day of open sessions among over 80 employers with opportunities in: Accounting ~ Finance ~ Sales ~ Marketing ~ Engineering ~ Technology ~ Computer Science ~ Communication ~ Healthcare ~ Management ~ Government ~ Non-Profit ~ and many more! This event is OPEN to any Degreed or Soon-to-Be Degreed Person from any College/University. Candidates from ALL cultures and backgrounds are welcome. Admission is Free. January 31, 2009 - Indiana Associated Press Managing Editors and Hoosier State Press Association Foundation Journalism Job Fair - Location: Franklin College in the Branigin Room of the Napolitan Student Center, Franklin IN. The job fair begins at 9:00 a.m. This fair is designed for newspapers seeking journalism candidates for beginning career positions and internships in a variety of positions in the newspaper industry. The event draws nearly 100 upper-level students annually from Indiana and other mid-western states. The format consists mainly of individual interviews with candidates with networking opportunities over the lunch period. Students and employers also are able to enjoy a talk given by regional or national leaders in the newspaper industry. Students can schedule interviews after December 10 by emailing Phyllis McQueen and include your class year. Please state requested newspapers and a confirmation will be returned. TBD - Chicago Advertising Federation Day - Location: Renaissance Chicago Hotel, 1 West Wacker Drive. Students with an interest in design, marketing or advertising are encouraged to attend the Chicago Advertising Federation Day in Chicago. Open to juniors and seniors with internship possibilities, the format for this job fair includes open tours of Chicago agencies. For more information click here.

TBD - Idealist.org Nonprofit Career Fair - Location: Primo South, Indianapolis. At the Nonprofit Career Fairs you'll be able to meet face-to-face with a variety of organizations in an informal setting. Attendance is free, but it would be great if you could register so that we can know how many people to expect. You should also register for a free service called "My Idealist" that enables you to receive one daily email with all the jobs, volunteer opportunities, internships and other information posted by the organizations in Idealist based on your interests and location. April 15, 2009 - Teacher Candidate Interview Day (TCID) - Location: Hendricks County 4H Conference Center. Open to senior education majors. TBD - Indiana Virtual Job Fair - Location: Online. Open to all students. The virtual job fair is a convenient way for employers and job seekers to connect for internship and full-time job opportunities. Last year's fair helped 127 employers and 1,976 job seekers exchange information and résumés for 276 jobs and internships.There is no charge to participate. This is a CDPI sponsored job fair.
