Representatives from YouthWorks will be on campus Friday, November 6, 2009 in the bottom of Decker.
Description of organization: YouthWorks is a non-profit, multi-denominational youth mission organization that has been running short-term summer mission trips for teenagers since 1994. YouthWorks also offers summer opportunities working with children (Sports Life Camps) and a nine month internship focused on living in community (Greater Works).
Qualifications: Potential summer staff must be at least one year out of high school to meet our minimum application requirements. Candidates must demonstrate good judgment and problem-solving skills, able to handle responsibility and have leadership experience. Staff members are needed who love youth and are passionate about serving. November 10th, Inner City Impact will be recruiting at the Bottom of Decker from 9:00 am until 3:00 pm. Inner City is a Christian youth center, in the heart of Chicago’s NW side. We work primarily with unchurched urban youth ages 5-18 bringing the hope of the gospel, mentoring/discipling, and integrating them into the local church. We do this through after-school clubs, bible studies, sports leagues, camps, and 1-on-1 relationship building. We offer 5 and 10-week summer internships and also have full time positions available. Internship Program provides students the opportunity to spend their
summer months working in a vital position of leadership, either in one
of EM's domestic or international partner communities or its
headquarters in Port Townsend, Washington while being paid for their
time of service. We are currently filling positions for our Mission
Internship, for which they will lead trips for various church groups;
and our Business Internship, for which they will manage logistics in
our main office.
