You can help preserve the beauty of Anderson University by making a gift to the campus master plan. The Anderson University campus has long been a place of beauty. Campus and community residents walk gas-lit, flower-lined University Boulevard (formerly known as Third Street). Student athletes compete on well-maintained sports fields. A drive around the block reveals stately trees and classrooms and dormitories constructed with graceful Georgian architecture. Behind the scenes there are miles of cable connecting students to technology, roofs keeping them dry, heating systems keeping them warm, and circuitry bringing lights to their rooms. This is all part of the infrastructure of an attractive, well-maintained campus.
Generations have studied and walked through our campus Valley. Anderson University has always been a place of faith, peace, and academic excellence, all greatly enhanced by our surroundings. Is there a way I can make a gift which keeps on giving every year to support students?
Some friends want to make a gift that not only benefits students today, but also helps them in the years to come. These friends make an endowment fund gift. Gifts of $10,000 or more can establish an endowment fund. The university invests the funds and each year proceeds or payouts are made, as directed by the Board of Trustees, for each of the endowment funds. These payouts are then allocated or used for the purposes directed by the donor.Donors who establish endowment funds often establish them in the name of a loved one or in the name of their own family. They work with the university to design a use for the fund that will closely fit their interests, or best honor those for whom the fund was named. Most funds support student financial aid. Others support special continuing educational learning for faculty or some other program or departmental needs.
Establishing an endowment fund in honor or in memory of loved ones is a gracious way to celebrate a life into perpetuity, and to help Anderson University students at the same time. Click on this link and ask us about endowment funds.
