My commitment to the issue of diversity at Anderson University derives from my deep appreciation for a nation that was, and continues to be, created by human beings from our entire planet.  Our collective human journey in America has not been free of conflict, oppression, and injustice.  Anderson University, with its compassionate Christian worldview, can be a force working towards a future of just and equitable race and ethnic relations in America and the world.  My name is Maria Scott, and I am an associate professor of sociology and criminal justice at Anderson University.
