All students are encouraged to carry health insurance

Most of you will continue to be covered by plans provided by employers or purchased for your family. Some of you because of age, marital status or other reasons may no longer qualify for your family’s plan. If you are covered on a family plan, and if that plan is an HMO or a managed health plan, you may need to check for HMO or preferred providers coverage while away from home. If the health insurance coverage does not extend to this geographic area, we encourage you to purchase supplemental health insurance that provides coverage while away from home. International students are required to carry approved health insurance coverage while away from here.
