A Shakespearean production of imagination and Christian recording artist Jennifer Knapp will showcase Anderson University’s 2000 Homecoming schedule of events. Under theme, "Connections: Reconnections," several activities are planned for alumni, students and community friends. Homecoming 2000 will begin with a special chapel/convocation in Reardon Auditorium, Tues., Oct. 3, at 10 a.m. with the coronation of the Homecoming court.

On Thurs., Oct. 5, at 7:30 p.m. the stage curtain will open on “A Mid Summer Night’s Dream,” a story of love caught in the magic web of a merry mischief-maker, in the Byrum Hall Performance Center. Tickets are available through the Byrum Hall box by calling 765-641-4351. Other activities are planned for Homecoming 20000—including the annual student/alumni fair at 10:30 a.m. and the Homecoming football game at 1:30 p.m., on Sat., Oct. 7. The following is a list of other scheduled events occurring during the Homecoming weekend:


Tuesday, October 3
10 a.m.: Chapel/Convocation, coronation of Homecoming king, queen and presentation of the Homecoming court, all invited. Reardon Auditorium.


Thursday, October 5
10 a.m.: Chapel/Convocation, featuring Cory Edwards, all invited. Reardon Auditorium.

Friday, October 6, 2000
8 a.m. – 1 p.m.: Admissions Alumni Opportunity Day. For prospective students whose parents are Anderson University alumni. Parents are encouraged to attend. Kane Dining Room, Olt Student Center. Pre-register by calling (800) 428-6414.

8 a.m.-5 p.m.: Project Reconnection-Habitat for Humanity. For alumni, students, families and friends of the university. Contact the AU Alumni Relations Office to receive registration information.

8:30 a.m.- 3:30 p.m.: Anderson University Alumni Council meeting. Edwards Dining Room, Olt Student Center.


9 a.m.- 8 p.m.: University Bookstore open. Lower level of Olt Student Center.

11 a.m.-4:30 p.m.: Golf Outing and Cookout. Tee-Off at 12 noon. Sponsored by Anderson University Golf Team. $50 per person (light lunch, green fees, cart, sleeve of golf balls, prizes for everyone, plus cookout). Killbuck Golf Course. Reservation required. 2 –5 p.m.: School of Nursing Lecture. Dr. Marsha Casey, CEO St. Vincent's Health Care Systems, will speak on the topic of “Changing Health Trends” A panel discussion and business meeting will be included during the presentation in Hartung Hall, Room 275.
