The management of WQME 98.7 recently announced that the adult contemporary Christian radio station could now be heard through a live streaming audio signal on the World Wide Web. The live radio signal is available at any time during WQME’s regular broadcast day. “We are in the communication profession and now we have a new medium that will help us extend our audience and provide an additional outlet for the adult contemporary Christian format of the station,” said Don Boggs, general manager of WQME.

“We have started down this new highway as an added service to our listeners and in response to several requests," added Boggs. "It is a logical continuation of what we are doing.”

The streaming audio signal from WQME 98.7 is provided through WarpRadio.com based in Greenwood Village, Colo., and on a Windows Media format. WarpRadio.com is a major provider of Internet audio streaming for the radio industry. The company has over 300 streaming radio stations and provides streaming services to most WebTV subscribers.

WQME is Madison County’s most powerful commercial FM station. The broadcasting facility is owned and operated by Anderson University.
