Title: AU joins the nation in prayer
Anderson University will join the nation today in response to the declaration by President Bush for a national day of prayer and remembrance of the events in New York, Washington and Pennsylvania last Tuesday, Sept. 11. At noon today a service of prayer and the spoken word will be conducted in Miller Chapel at the School of Theology. Dr. James W. Lewis, Professor of Christian Ethics, will lead the service. “Many in our community have been touched by the events in New York and Washington," said Dr. James L. Edwards, President of Anderson University. “Our prayers are sustaining all of us as we find ourselves lifted in worship and in Christian fellowship as members of the Body of Christ.” (PHOTO CREDIT: AP/Bob Jordan).
