AU receives Star Chapter award

Anderson University recently received a Star Chapter Award from Alpha Chi National College Honor Society based at Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas. AU has received this award yearly since 1996 when the chapter was launched on campus. Alpha Chi has chapters on more than 300 campuses in 45 states and Puerto Rico. An honor society for all academic fields, it inducts no more than the top 10 percent of junior and seniors at member institutions. More than 11,000 members are inducted annually.

A Star Chapter must fulfill several criteria in order to receive the award, which include; a sponsor and a student attending the national/regional convention, one student presentation at the national/regional convention, support a Benedict Fellowship and/or Noelle Scholarship nominee, sponsor one scholarly program on campus, induct and register members, and file an annual chapter report.

Anderson University is a private, four-year, Christian liberal arts institution of approximately 2,400 undergraduate and graduate students. Established in 1917 by the Church of God, the university offers more than 60 undergraduate majors and graduate programs of study in theology, business and education.
