Anderson University’s own WQME 98.7 will provide live broadcasts of selected Anderson University and local high school basketball games during its programming hours. Alumni and friends can tune into 98.7 FM or go online at www.wqme.com to take part in the broadcast through WQME’s streaming audio signal. WQME will broadcast the games live with pre-game coverage 30 minutes prior.
“We’re delighted that this arrangement will enable listeners across central Indiana and over the Internet to keep up with Raven basketball,” said Don Boggs, general manager of WQME. “This is another avenue by which this station can reach out to the community and a wider audience.”
WQME 98.7 is Madison County’s only commercial FM station. The broadcasting facility is owned and operated by Anderson University and is the only station in the County with emergency generators at both the studio and transmitter site.
Anderson University is a four-year liberal arts institution of approximately 2,600 undergraduate and graduate students. Established in 1917 by the church of God, the university offers more than 60 undergraduate majors and graduate programs in business, education, nursing and theology.
