Kent T. Saunders
Professor of Finance & Economics
Why do you choose to teach/work at Anderson University?
I am able and encouraged to integrate my faith with the disciplines of finance and economics. This allows me to provide a holistic view of how the world works and how finance and economics should be practiced.
What is something that you have been part of at AU that brings you joy?
I have been involved with the creation of new academic endeavors. For example, I serve as the editor of the Christian Business Academy Review, which is an academic journal devoted to promoting Christian business education through publication of faith-based articles that focus on creative instruction, curriculum development, and research in business education.
What do you like to do for fun?
I love to coach and play fast-pitch softball. My wife and I manage travel teams, league teams, all-star teams, and we both play in a co-ed church softball league. During my sabbatical, we constructed a 26' by 54' garage with an indoor batting cage so that we could practice year round.
What is one thing that makes you unique?
Everyone in my family was born in a different state. I was born in Pennsylvania. My wife was born in Indiana. Kelcey, my oldest daughter, was born in South Carolina. Kendra, my middle daughter, was born in Tennessee. Khloe, my youngest daughter, was born in New York.
