BourgeaTEA, a student-run business by Anderson University Falls School of Business senior Chris Bourgea and recent graduate Jeff Giesler, placed second in the sixth annual Taylor University Business Plan Competition held May 13 at Taylor University. In addition to the $3,000 second-place prize, they also won another $1,000 for having the top undergraduate entry in a competition open to all members of the community.
The Anderson Media Group (AMG) in the Falls School of Business won a 2010 Best of Show award from the Hoosier Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Wednesday for their publication, Falls Report. This is the first year the PRSA has offered a student category and awards were given in two areas: projects and programs.
The Association of Business Schools and Programs proudly announces that Tim Scales, Director, Center for Entrepreneurship and Economic Education, Indiana University East in Richmond, Indiana, has received the 2010 Teaching Excellence Award for ACBSP Region 4. [Editor's Note: Scales is a 1998 Anderson University MBA graduate.] The award is supported in all regions this year by a financial contribution from the University of Indianapolis – Athens Campus, in Athens, Greece.
The 627 members of Anderson University’s Class of 2010 were encouraged on Saturday to “live your ideals graciously and generously” as they received diplomas at the school’s 92nd Commencement.
Anderson University will offer four camps for high school students over the summer. The Orangehaus Music Business Camp and the Entrepreneurship Camp return this year, while two other camps will be offered for the first time: The JustDance Summer Dance Intensive and the Career Camp sponsored by the Anderson University Career Development Center.
