Dr. Doyle Lucas, director of the Doctor of Business Administration Program at the Anderson University Falls School of Business, was recently honored with the creation of an endowed scholarship bearing his name. The Dr. Doyle Lucas Endowed Scholarship Fund will celebrate the service of the professor and help business students with their academic financial burdens.
Last fall, Anderson University student Mike Dean created and launched Swap ‘Em, an online marketplace where students could network with each other and trade or purchase textbooks at a reduced cost to the students. After the successful launch of his service for Anderson University students, Dean has been chosen as a semi-finalist in the Enterprise 8 Business Plan Tournament hosted by the Ball State Entrepreneurship Center on March 18-19.
Anderson University recently announced that Dr. William G. Enright, Executive Director of the Lake Institute on Faith & Giving at the Center on Philanthropy at Indiana University and former Senior Pastor of the Second Presbyterian Church in Indianapolis, will address the graduating class of 2010 during commencement exercises, May 8. The 3 p.m. (E.D.T.) program will be conducted in the Ward Fieldhouse of the Kardatzke Wellness Center.
The Falls School of Business (FSB) will attend the world’s largest student investment forum sponsored by the University of Dayton, held during AU spring break, March 18-20. Students will hear from financial leaders from across the country including keynote speakers from companies such as Hewlett-Packard, Morningstar, Inc., Moody Investors Service, and Merrill Lynch.
