Liberal Arts Seminar
Building upon the foundation set in the fall First Year Experience Seminar course, first year students will take this second course, Liberal Arts Seminar, in the spring.
Liberal Arts Seminar builds on the foundation of the fall course by encouraging engagement in the curricular and co-curricular life of the campus and fostering a sense of belonging. It also further extends the invitation first offered in the fall for students to see themselves as a significant part of a vibrant teaching-learning community. This cross-disciplinary, discussion-based class focuses heavily on the development of critical thinking and communication skills, equipping students for continued intellectual growth and academic success and contributing to their capacity for meaningful, effective participation in the church and society.
