|Responsibilities :||Anderson University Dining Services is seeking qualified (2) candidates with strong customer service skills as well as knowledge of food preparation and cashiering to assist at Flagship Enterprise Center Connections Café’.
Specific responsibilities include providing consistent and polite service to customers; procuring orders from customers and assembling order in a timely manner; preparing fresh sandwiches, salads, soups and desserts, as well as other food preparation tasks as making dressings, slicing deli meat, cutting fresh fruit and vegetables, and brewing coffee; operating POS system to accept payments and process payment transactions; cleaning food preparation equipment work areas, counters or tables; accurately checking in food/equipment orders and putting away.
These positions is a part time position with Creative Dining Services.
|Qualifications:||Qualified candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent. Some food service experience preferred. Working knowledge of principles and processes needed for providing customer services, including assessing customer needs, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluating customer satisfaction. General understanding of food preparation techniques (baking, roasting, sautéing), knowledge of proper food handling techniques and food safety, with ability to safely use cooking utensils. Ability to manage one’s own time to stay busy and productive. Must be a team player and display a willingness to accomplish any task to assure success. Must be able to speak clearly and listen attentively to employees and guests. Must be able to read and follow written instructions. Must be able to stand and exert well paced mobility for periods up to four hours in length.
The current work schedule is Monday to Thursday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. (Schedule may change due to class schedules and catering needs).
