Responsibilities : Anderson University Dining Services is seeking qualified candidates for both full-time and part-time positions assisting within the Kitchen. Responsibilities include assisting with food preparation, cooking, and cleaning/washing dishes; maintaining a safe, clean, and sanitary work area.
Qualifications: Qualified candidates will have prior experience or familiarity with all aspects of working in a commercial kitchen. Sanitation certification will be needed. Must be a team player and display a willingness to accomplish any task to assure success. The job requires English comprehension (speaking/reading/writing) to understand and follow both verbal and written food safety procedure, and to speak clearly and listen attentively to employees, dining room staff, and guests. Must be able to stand and exert well paced mobility for periods up to four hours in length. Must be able to write legibly and complete basic math equations. Must be able to operate meat slicers and other kitchen equipment. Work schedule may vary and overtime hours may be required.
