English Language Tutor
Description: 2-8 hours/week. The purpose of this job is to gain experience as an educator in the field of Language Acquisition. This job will prepare future educators by requiring one on one interaction with students. Other skills that will be learned through working in this position will be collaboration with a supervisor, communication with parents and day-to-day operations of an education environment. This job requires instruction in various academic subjects for low literacy English Language Learning Students. Time commitment will vary but should not exceed 5 hours per week. Tutoring will take place at the students school either in Anderson or Pendleton. Other duties and responsibilities will be to attain a general understanding of the process of language acquisition and how to apply successful strategies. Hired tutors will report to the director of the after school literacy program and the ENL department at Anderson University. This job requires travel every week until the end of the spring term. Description:
2 - 10 hours/week. The purpose of this job is to gain experience as an educator. This job will prepare future educators by requiring lesson planning and lesson delivery. This job will also provide experience as an educator in the field of Language Acquisition. Other skills that will be learned through working in this position will be classroom management, collaboration with a supervisor, communication with parents and day-to-day operations of an education environment. This job requires instruction in Spanish literacy for students in grads 3 – 5 at Anderson Elementary School. Time commitment is 2 hours per week with additional preparation/less planning time likely. Hired tutors will report to the director of the after school Spanish literacy program and the ENL department at Anderson University. This job requires travel to Anderson Elementary School once a week for 2 hours each.
Qualifications: High proficiency in the Spanish Language (near fluency)
Ability to demonstrate Spanish language skills
Strong teaching skills
Ability to collaborate with the program director to form lesson plans
Commitment to the position through the spring term

Job Title: Student Software Tester
Description::* 5 – 10 hours per week. All SRC positions are considered primarily an academic experience. Student Software Testers will learn comprehensive testing methods and quality control practices. SRC generally hires students to complete project work. As project needs vary, so will employment. Students will provide total system testing, work with programmers to identify errors, recommend improvements, and provide support as necessary. An important aspect is effectively communicating and documenting software problems. Qualifications: Ideally applicants will pursue a computer complementary major or minor and have completed or be enrolled in an appropriate class such as: CPSC 1400. GPA 2.5 acceptable, 3.0 preferred.

Description:: 10 hours per week. All SRC positions are considered primarily an academic experience. Systems Support Students will learn customer service skills and first level IT support. SRC generally hires students to complete project work. As project needs vary, so will employment. Students will provide all software, server, and network onsite support to clients. An important aspect is effectively communicating and documenting problems and changes. Some experience with general computer support problems is preferred. Access to a car for transportation purposes may be necessary. Qualifications: Ideally applicants will pursue a computer complementary major or minor and have completed or be enrolled in an appropriate class such as: CPSC 1400 or 1100. GPA 3.0 acceptable, 3.5 preferred.
