Job Title:Tele-touch Caller
2008-09
Description: 6 – 12 hours per week. Make contact by telephone with alumni, parents, past attendees, prospective donors to inform them about what is new at AU; solicit funding for the Annual Fund and other special projects; answer any questions; make a friend; update alumni records. Familiar with the behind-the-scenes goings on of a university. Where the money goes, where it comes from, the importance of institutional support from the outside (alumni and community) and how much we rely on it. 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday Qualifications: Person with excellent communication skills who is task oriented and has ability to sell what they believe in. Marketing skills, pleasing personality and good telephone skill/manners REQUIRED. Confidentiality a must. Once trained the teletouch caller is the representative of the University, so it is essential this person appeals to the public and makes the "callers" feel appreciated. Legible handwriting a must.

Job Title: Ambassador
for Sem. I 2008-09.
Description: 5-15 hrs/week. Males & Females needed to give campus tours to prospective students & their families. Campus tours are given M-F at 11-12 p.m. & 3-4 p.m. Also giving campus tours for Discovery Days are given M/W/F at 10 a.m. Other duties include housing prospective students overnight in the dorms on a weekly basis. Involving the visiting students in on-campus events, dinner, floor activities, etc. Qualifications: Must live in the residence halls. Need good customer service skills, enthusiastic and committed to AU; Willing to meet new people. Communicate knowledge of Anderson University’s culture and understanding of academic majors. Initiate and sustain conversation with prospective students and/or their families. Involvement in campus activities.

2008-09 Discovery Day Welcome Team
Description: 5-10 hours during visit weeks. Help set up for the 40+ visit programs. Greet and interact with prospective students and their families. Need students for both Sem. I & II 2008-09. Qualifications: Freshman okay. Strong people skills. Must be available from 7:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. M/W/F as needed. Plus 2-3 Saturdays.
