Imagine yourself strolling by a row of tables with names of local organizations for which you care. The atmosphere is festive and calming and you continue to smile as you run into friends and acquaintances. You have just caught a glimpse of the Madison County Season of Giving Gift Fair! Through this event, we are hoping to simplify the holidays, build a greater sense of community, and encourage philanthropy.

The Season of Giving Gift Fair offers shoppers a choice of holiday gifts to honor family and friends while supporting charities and non-profit organizations in a festive atmosphere. Gifts range from: $10 school supplies for schoolchildren, $25 for a cab ride for a family escaping domestic violence, or $50 towards providing meals for those in need. For each donation, the giver will get a beautiful holiday card with a description of the organization and gift wrapped in festive wrapping.

The date and place for the Season of Giving Gift Fair will be Saturday, December 10th at Mounds Mall from 11:00 a.m.—2:00 p.m.  Each organization will be given a table to display information about their programs. Participating organizations are required to have at least one volunteer present, the entire time, to answer questions and talk with shoppers. You will not sell anything at the Gift Fair.

We would like to see success for everyone involved in this unique event. All participating organizations must market widely to their communities. Our committee has limited resources for advertising and thus, will rely on you to help. For more information please visit where you will find links for the Gift Fair on the navigation bar on the left side.  You will also find a sample shopping list to give you an idea of the price and type of ‘gifts’ that can be purchased.

If your organization would be interested in applying, please submit the application, which can be found on our as soon as possible.  We will be accepting 15 organizations.  We will review the applications on a first come, first serve basis.  Our final decisions will also be based on trying to have a wide variety of services represented at the fair. We will not accept applications received after September 9th. Please fill out the application on-line so that you can be a part of this unique event! Your organization must serve people in Madison County and the gifts must be purchased that day by the giver.
