Anderson, Ind. — Anderson University’s School of Music, Theatre, and Dance is introducing a new summer camp. Orangehaus Guitar Camp will be held on AU’s campus from June 19 to 23. The camp is for high school students of all skill levels to learn or master acoustic, electric, or bass guitar.

“We have had so many requests over the past few years for guitar instruction during Orangehaus Music Business Camp that we decided to launch Orangehaus Guitar Camp for high school students this summer,” said Dr. Rebecca Chappell, director of Orangehaus Records. “There are not a lot of options for students to learn guitar in an immersive setting, so the School of Music, Theatre, and Dance is very excited to provide this unique opportunity.”

Classes will focus on guitar technique, special effects, various styles, theory, and performance. Students from all skill levels can choose from acoustic, electric, or bass guitar, and there are some scholarships available. Orangehaus Guitar Camp and Orangehaus Music Business Camp will run back-to-back to allow students the opportunity to attend both.

Registration is $495 and includes housing, meals, and tuition. Learn more about Orangehaus camps and register online.
