AU students take evangelism to Florida theme park

Last summer, Anderson University students Ian Oechsle, Cameron Mason and Trey Hutchinson took the Gospel to the streets of Universal Studios in Orlando, Fla. The summer-long opportunity was part of the Orlando Project. During their time in Orlando the students attended classes and sessions to learn about discipleship and evangelism while working a job at Universal Studios.

Anderson University to host robotics competition

Anderson University will welcome talented robotics teams of middle and high school students from across Indiana for a VEX Robotics Competition on Jan. 30, 2016. The VEX Robotics Competition at AU is sponsored by the Robotics Education and Competition Foundation.

The event will be conducted in the Kardatzke Wellness Center on the Anderson University campus from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.  View a campus map and directions.

The athletic training program at Anderson University offers state-of-the-art training and therapy equipment, opportunities to work with Raven athletic teams and the fortune of learning from quality and highly connected athletic training faculty. Professors in the athletic training program also encourage their students to expand their own experiences off campus through summer internships.

Former Walmart executive and leadership expert, Henry Jordan, speaks at AU

Henry Jordan, retired senior divisional vice president for Walmart, will be a featured speaker for a continuing series titled "Integrating Faith in Life," Jan. 26, at Anderson University. Jordan will speak at 11 a.m. during chapel/convocation. The series is designed to showcase personalities from a wide spectrum of fields who demonstrate how their faith has impacted their work. This session will take place in Reardon Auditorium and is open to the public.

"The Anatomy of an Advertising Agency"

Wilson Galleries in Krannert Fine Arts Center at Anderson University will feature a special exhibit entitled, "The Anatomy of an Advertising Agency," on Saturday, Jan. 23, from 3-5 p.m.  Sponsored by Well Done, an advertising agency based in Indianapolis, the exhibit will feature how parts of an advertising agency—from design to film and marketing—work together to form a successful company.  The event is free and open to the public.

 Anderson University welcomes Representative Pete Hoekstra

 

Pete Hoekstra (R-MI), who served in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1993 until 2011, will spend Wednesday and Thursday at Anderson University discussing foreign policy, his time in Congress, and his reflections on integrating faith into his life.  

On Wednesday, Jan. 13, at 7 p.m., Hoekstra will present a lecture titled, “American Foreign Policy: Roaming in the Wilderness?” followed by a time of Q&A.  The lecture will take place in Hartung Hall on the campus of Anderson University, and the public is welcome to attend.
