Description:
Effective implementation of planning requires that resources be in place as needed.  Developing an operational and a cash budget are critical to an organization's ongoing success in meeting plan objectives.  We will use a hands on approach to developing budgets and explore how they can be used in decision making. 

Note:
Registration and breakfast begins at 8:00 am. Participants are encouraged to bring a laptop. Free wireless internet will be provided. A technician will be available from 8:00 to 8:30 am to help you set up your computer. If you do not have a laptop, we have a limited number of laptops that may be reserved for your use - please contact us for more information.

Cost:
$49 includes breakfast buffet and networking. Discount options for FEC clients and AU employees, students and alumni will be listed at the end of the registration process and will be applied to your total before checkout. Pre-payment by credit card is required. Reservations are non-refundable.

About our Facilitator:

Sena K. Landey has served in finance at Anderson University since 1975. Appointed Vice President for Finance and Treasurer in July 1997, Sena is responsible for all aspects of the university's financial affairs (budget of $55 million). In addition, she oversees the physical plant ($125 million of assets), human resources, auxiliary operations, and conference/performance events. As treasurer she has had extensive experience in budget development, linking budgeting to planning, cash and investment management, and debt procurement. Sena earned her baccalaureate degree in Accounting and Business Administration as well as a MBA from Anderson University's Falls School of Business, where she now serves as an adjunct professor of accounting. In addition, Sena is the treasurer of the Flagship Enterprise Center, president of the Liberty Christian School board, secretary of the Orangehaus Inc. board, a member of the SIFE Advisory Committee, president of the Community Home Health Services board, a member of the Independent Colleges of Indiana audit committee, and is secretary of the National Association of College and University Business Officers.
