York Performance Hall and Galleries
The School of Music, Theatre, and Dance is one of the largest and strongest academic units on the campus of Anderson University. Our graduates are performing in some of the most prestigious venues in the world, including The Metropolitan Opera in New York City and La Scala Theatre in Milan. Our graduates are also teaching in some of the strongest school systems in the nation, leading music ministries in important churches, sharing their artistic vision through all facets of the music industry, and pursuing graduate degrees from prominent universities.
All of our current music students and alumni share one thing in common. They all perform as soloists and as members of musical ensembles during their years at AU. Every week, the School of Music, Theatre, and Dance hosts multiple performances that showcase the artistry of our student artists. In addition, the School of Music, Theatre, and Dance also presents performances by faculty members and guest artists, many of whom are featured on our Thursday Night Concert Series which attracts significant audiences from the campus and community. In short, the School of Music boasts an active performance calendar that far exceeds the capacities of our current facilities.
York Performance Hall is designed to be an acoustically superior venue that will give proper recognition to the work of our students, faculty members, and guest artists. This hall has been carefully shaped by acousticians and architects to ensure that music is heard and experienced in powerful and moving ways.
Please help us build the York Performance Hall by underwriting the seats in the hall. Help us reach our goal of creating a world-class performance hall that honors our tradition of musical excellence at AU and helps us move into the future with strength and confidence.
