Arlie Adcock BTh '29 died August 12, 2002, in Winchester, Ind. At age 105, he was the oldest living AU alumnus. While a college student, he met Bessie Warren, the head of the Gospel Trumpet subscription department. They married and spent 60 years together until her death in 1989. During his career, he had been a farmer and a custodian at the Jackson (Ind.) School. He is survived by on daughter, Ruby Walters; four sons, Lloyd, Robert, Charles and James Adcock; a half-sister, Pearl MacDonald; 19 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Charles L. Culp '31 died May 30, 2002. He lived in Sterling Heights, Mich. He was a cousin to the late Hillery Rice BTh '42, who was instrumental in bringing Charles to AU. In 1931, Charles married Irene Fultz BTh '31. She died in 1990. He is survived by his wife, Edrie; one son, Dale Culp; one daughter, Rachel Soptich Osborn; and three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. His family writes the he "had many happy memories of Anderson University."
The Rev. Clair W. Fiscus BTh '47 died July 12, 2002 in Indianapolis. He was a minister for Rainbow Acres Church of God for 20 years, retiring in 1976. Survivors include a son, Robert L. Fiscus '57; daughters, Carol Jeanne (Fiscus) Ballinger '59 and Cheryl Joy Brannon; a sister, Annabell Mills; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nellie (Callen) Fiscus, in 1997.
The Rev. Herbert B. Neff BA '38 died May 20, 2002, following a battle with Parkinson's Disease. He was 91. As a pastor, he worked with churches in Ohio, Pennsylvania and Tennessee. He was also a professor of education at Tennessee Wesleyan College in Athens, Tenn., for nearly 25 years. He is survived by his wife, Blanche Harriager Neff AB '37, and three children - Larry, Lynn and Karen.
