Gayle (Miller) Schoepf BS enjoys life at the ocean in Long Beach, Calif., near her two children and grandchildren. She is organist and minister of youth at Delhaven Christian Church, a multi-cultural church in La Puente. "My private practice provides psychotherapy and spiritual reflection for individuals, couples and families, and consulting for businesses and organizations," he writes. Bruce A. Hazel BA and Jennifer (Arthur) Hazel returned from Babati, Tanzania, in September 2001. While in Tanzania, Bruce administered the Babati Bible College and provided training to pastors. In December Bruce accepted a pastorate at Fairview Church of God in Las Cruces, N.M. They have three children - 19-year-old Angela, 18-year-old Erin and 16-year-old Eric.

Elizabeth Ellis Archer BA lives in Albertville, Ala., with her husband, Steve, and their four children - Stephanie (14), Emily (11), Megan (9) and John (6). Beginning her 10th year as a home educator, Liz has used her education degree in a capacity she never dreamed of during her college days. Steve is the owner of Mountain Studios, a recording facility, and Biblesurplus.com.
Juanita (Phillips) Faas has recorded her first CD of piano music. Holy Hands was released in May. The music on the CD is a mixture of gospel, jazz, Latin and classical. "In previous years, I taught piano, accompanied ballet classes and played piano in churches," she writes. She is currently touring in Alberta and British Columbia.

Jennifer is enrolled in Fuller Theological Seminary and is working on a doctorate in clinical psychology. Esthermay Bentley married Mark Goossen June 1, 2002, in St. Paul, Minn. Cayla Dyer BA '95 provided processional and recessional music on the trumpet. Mark is the former senior pastor of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Jackson, Calif., and is currently employed by Hormel Foods. Esthermay is completing a master's degree in counseling at Bethel Seminary and works as the director of the Victim/Witness Program in Mower County, Minn. The couple lives in Austin, Minn., where Esthermay is now the stepmother of three children.
Maj. David Farlow BA, a public affairs officer in the United States Army, has been selected to spend one year training at Fleishman-Hillard International Communications, Inc., in Atlanta. The year of training will expose him to the corporate world of business communications and public relations. David explains that the Army views such training programs as an ideal means for officers to enhance their public affairs skills.
Kasey (Saunders) Sloan performs as a vocalist in solo, oratorio and orchestral venues throughout the Southeast. She is pursuing a master's degree in sacred music through Graduate Theological Foundation. She is the founder of the Trinity Performing Arts Series in Myrtle Beach, S.C. Her husband, Len, is a police investigator. They have two children.

Larry Costello BA led a public relations team for a Sears campaign titled "Energy Efficient Appliances Light Up Sales." The campaign received a Sabre award, a national public relations award from The Holmes Group in New York City.
Lisa (Tunnell) Hahn BA and her husband, David, announce the birth of Kaitlyn Marie on March 25, 2002. Lisa writes that Lauren, 5, and Jared, 2, are enjoying their baby sister.
Susan (McCarthy) Kerr BA writes, "After teaching on Cape Cod for three years, I went to Boston College to get my master's in clinical social work. Shortly after graduating, I was hired by Hospice of Cape Cod to create a bereavement program for children ages 2 to 18. This became a model program in our state. I provided training for school systems and organizations on and off the Cape to help professionals deal with crisis situations and the impact of terminal illness and death." Susan worked for Hospice of Cape Cod for five years and now teaches fifth grade. Susan and her husband, Jonathan, live in Barnstable, Mass., with 7-year-old Emma and 4-year-old twins Sarah and Hannah.

"At the end of last year, I was diagnosed with cancer, but God has been faithful. After a half year of treatment, my health has been restored. Dr. Benjamin Newcomer BA finished veterinary school at the University of Florida and is a dairy veterinarian in Visalia, Calif. "I am enjoying getting settled in and finally being done with school," he writes.
Tim Ponce BA is a foreign service officer with the United States Department of State in Washington, D.C. He lives in Arlington, Va., with wife Jennifer Stershic Ponce BSN and son David. Tim writes, "I'm studying Arabic and undergoing other training in preparation for an assignment to the U.S. Embassy in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. I will be an assistant public affairs officer for two years. We are tentatively scheduled to go to Abu Dhabi during late October or early November."

Kevin Todd BA and Liz (Alukas) Todd BA '00 adopted a Yorkie, which they named Jenga Vader. Kevin is studying at Ball State University in the graduate program for urban planning. Liz works for the Center for Mental Health in Anderson, where she was promoted to child team case management supervisor.
Tera Faith BA has moved back to Indiana after working with Mission Year in Philadelphia.
John Gillette BA married Darah Hulse BA on April 27, 2002. Dr. Willard Reed MDiv '71 officiated the ceremony. D. Royce Fitts BA '72, MDiv '76 founded the Western Sky Counseling and Resource Center in 1993. "My private practice provides psychotherapy and spiritual reflection for individuals, couples and families, and consulting for businesses and organizations," he writes. "I serve a wide geographic area, which includes three offices. My primary office is in Gering, Neb." His wife, Janice J. Whalen BA '73, is the director of network services for the 11 counties of the Panhandle Mental Health and Substance Abuse Region of western Nebraska. They have two grown children. Bob Brooke MDiv '80 has been involved with the Circle of Care Child SHARE (Shelter Homes: A Rescue Effort) foster care program since February 2001. "I have experience as a church pastor with children and families and as the administrator of a statewide support program for reserve military families. My work as a coordinator is centered on foster families. I seek out and develop networks of people, primarily through church and faith communities, to provide resources and support for foster families and volunteers," Bob writes.
John Eckelbarger BA '76, MDiv '80 is the junior high headmaster at Lexington Christian Academy. His wife, Deb (Kuepfer) Eckelbarger BA '79, is an elementary teacher at Lexington Christian Academy. Both are ordained pastors. Their youngest daughter, Anna-Noel, is a freshman at AU. Their daughter, Rebekah, lives in Anchorage, and their son, Nathan is working on an engineering degree in film arts in Winter Park, Fla.
