Arthur Eikamp BA and Norma (Blewitt) Eikamp BA '57 celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary in 2002. Arthur's book Sensei, which includes an account of his years at Anderson, his migrant ministry and his years in Japan, has been well received.

Kenneth Hall BA '48 and Arlene (Stevens) Hall BS are retired but still active in Park Place Church of God in Anderson, Ind. Ken writes Sunday school curriculum and other materials for Church of God Ministries. Arlene has directed the community Life Enrichment program. They enjoy traveling and spending time with their two sons and five grandchildren.

Walter Kufeldt BA is the associate pastor at Silver Lake Community Church in Leesburg, Fla. He plans to retire in June. Doris (Marshall) Kufeldt '53 is the church secretary.

Gussie Germany Ninemire and her husband, Paul, live in Oak Grove, La. They are semiretired but continue to serve on the staff at Oak Grove First Church of God. They have five children, eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. "We are richly blessed with a wonderful church family and a wonderful loving family," Gussie writes. "We are grateful for good health."

Jim Sharp BA, MDiv '56 and Dorothy (Hardin) Sharp BS '54 are enjoying their retirement in Knoxville, Tenn., where Dorothy can be near her 94-year-old mother. They are active in the First Church of God. Dorothy is the adult coordinator for Christian education activities. Jim teaches Sunday school and is congregational vice chairman and church council chairman.

M. Jane Bradford BA lives in Alabama and directs traffic at Chestnut Grove Elementary School and for local civic functions. "The best thing," she writes, "is reading to first and fifth graders."

Clifford Lyon retired from full-time ministry in 1988. Until his wife's stroke in 1997, they served as interim pastors in Michigan. He lives in Sarnia, Ontario, near his daughter Janice (Lyon) Walters '77. His wife, Lois, lives in a local nursing home. Both are in fairly good health. Robert F. Lucas lives in Billings, Mont. He ministers to the community by distributing video tapes and conducting a weekly Bible study. "I need to find some self-supporting Church of God people to move out here and give a helping hand," he writes. This spring he plans to sell his house and invest in a future church location.

Lona (Smith) Armenta remarried four years ago. She is the music director at First Church of God in Yucaipa, Calif. She enjoys retirement and spending time with her grandchildren.

Gene Grater BS and Mary Ann (Hinkle) Grater BS '55, MRE '84 built a home on Lay Lake, 50 miles south of Birmingham, Ala. They serve as interim pastors in Alabama, Tennessee and Mississippi. They enjoy spending time with their children and grandchildren.

Joe McAllister BA '64 and Dorcas (DeYoung) McAllister '58 teach at Salinas Valley State Prison. They purchased a house in King City, Calif. "We enjoy the small town atmosphere and enjoy being involved in the church and community," Joe writes. Dorcas received an award from Mee Memorial Hospital Service League in King City for her work with volunteers.

James Altman lives in Sun City Center, Fla. He is retired but works part time at Dillards in Brandon, Fla. He and his wife, Sylvia, are considering moving to Colorado to be closer to their son's family.

Joy (Robertson) Dennis BS and Dienzel Dennis BS '61 taught for 39 years and now enjoy retirement in Daytona Beach, Fla. "It's fun to now have time to watch our grandsons play football and our granddaughters cheerlead," Joy writes. Dienzel adds, "If any of our friends get to Daytona Beach, be sure to look us up."

Richard Hatch is a retired computer programming professor at San Diego State University but still teaches occasionally. He is treasurer of his local church, where his wife, Ann (Menchinger) Hatch, is the secretary.

Gary Mitchener is a retired Episcopal priest and is working as a massage therapist. He explains that it is a continuation of healing ministry - "the laying-on of hands with anointing and prayer."

Harry Nachtigall BS and his wife, Julia, are SAM missionaries in Costa Rica. He is president of the San José Christian Center of the Church of God, where he also teaches computer classes. Julia is the treasurer for the center and the Sunday school superintendent. He is a member of the Costa Rica General Assembly and takes responsibility for visiting two of the older churches in the Atlantic Zone of Costa Rica once a month.

Cornelia (Barnette) Kerich BA - see The College, 1983.

John Seippel BA and his wife, Darlene, retired from pastoral ministry in 1997. They had ministered in Pennsylvania since leaving Anderson in 1965. John suffers from cerebral atrophy and Parkinson's disease and lives in Donahoe Manor Nursing Home. Darlene lives with their daughter, Valerie, and her family. John and Darlene have three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. "John's dementia is quite severe," Darlene writes, "but he enjoys a number of gospel videos. We continue to keep our faith in our Lord."

Ronald Shotton BS is a retired missionary. He lives in Tempe, Ariz., with his wife, Ruth.

Joe McAllister BA and Dorcas (DeYoung) McAllister '58 teach at Salinas Valley State Prison. They purchased a house in King City, Calif. "We enjoy the small town atmosphere and enjoy being involved in the church and community," Joe writes. Dorcas received an award from Mee Memorial Hospital Service League in King City for her work with volunteers.

Gloria (Eckelberry) McLaughlin works in the human resource department at Kent State University at the Stark Campus. She moved to Ohio from Tampa, Fla., two years ago. "We loved Florida and are looking forward to returning during retirement," Gloria writes, "but for now we need to be close to family in Ohio, as my parents need extra care." Gloria has two sons and six grandchildren.

Nolan Reed BS retired from State Farm Insurance. He and his wife, Judy, moved to Brewton, Ala., and built a home on the 10th green at the country club.

Linda (Wosika) Snyder is the director of the bookstore and postal service at Warner Southern College in Florida. Tom Snyder BA '66, MRE '69 is the director of programs for the Children's Home Society.

Maxine (DeVorss) Jones BA is an associate minister and director of adult ministries at Church at the Crossing in Indianapolis. Her husband, Russ, is self-employed in home remodeling. This winter he led his 52nd mission work team to Brazil and then traveled to Austria. They have two daughters and three grandchildren.

Jon Noggle BA retired from South Madison Community Schools in 1998. He and his wife, Vivian, live on the northeast side of Indianapolis. They love traveling and spending time with their grandchildren.

Wesley Drummond BA is retired from pastoral ministry. Sandy (Mullins) Drummond BA supervises social workers for Cox Medical Center in Springfield, Mo. They have three children and three grandchildren.

Steven Cook BA lives in Noblesville, Ind., and is a project manager for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development in Indianapolis.

Larry Green BA retired as chaplain for the Illinois Department of Mental Health in 1998. He and his wife, Gini, moved to Anderson to be closer to their children. Larry is a staff chaplain for St. John's Hospital and facilitates spiritual therapy groups at the Anderson Center. They are active at North Anderson Church of God, where Larry is the director of mental health ministry, Gini is the director of the health care ministry and is a parish nurse, and they serve as small group leaders.

Ron Maurer BA, MA '86 teaches at Trevecca Nazarene University and is completing his doctoral dissertation in public administration. Jacque (Hooker) Maurer BA teaches first grade at Bellwood School in Murfreesboro, Tenn. In September she celebrated being cancer-free for two years. The entire family participated in the Nashville Komen Foundation Race for the Cure in November.

Joseph Allison BA is the publishing manager at Evangel Publishing House in Nappanee, Ind. His wife, Judy, is an administrative assistant for Silent Blessings, a ministry to the deaf.

Chuck Bertschman BA and Cheryl (Newberry) Bertschman BA '73 write that their son, Kyle, broke his neck in a swimming accident Aug. 3 and is currently diagnosed as quadriplegic. He spent more than 100 days in Grant Medical Center in Columbus before being transferred to a rehab center at Ohio State University.

Stephen Birch BA is the senior minister at Eastland Church of God in Lexington, Ky. Brenda (Forsberg) Birch BA volunteers at the assisted living facility owned by the church and helps with the children's ministry program. They are building a new home in Richmond, Ky. They have three sons.

Mary-Margaret Byerman Bowles BA is the associate director for student services for the women's external degree program and an adjunct faculty member at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College. She is the "impresario" of the Bowles Music Palace house concert series, hosting nationally known singer-songwriters. She lives in Terre Haute, Ind.

She is working on her doctoral dissertation in curriculum and instruction at Andrews University in Michigan. Marshall Lawrence BA is the executive director for Silent Blessings Deaf Ministry in Indianapolis.

Ernie Peterson BA will travel to Athens, Greece, to interview for the 2004 Summer Olympics. Ernie was a volunteer in Salt Lake City for the Winter Olympics. He completes his 30th year with the Volusia County Property Appraiser's Office in June. And then, he writes, "It's motor home time."

Connie (Gove) Myers Graham BA retired from teaching elementary school. She remarried in August and moved to Midland, Mich. Her husband, Jerry, is a youth minister at East Ashman Church of God. Jalene has been a full-time mom and homemaker for the past 19 years. She has homeschooled both of their children; James is 16, and Jaela is a student at AU.

Doug Aumiller BA is an outside claims adjuster for ASU Group. His territory includes the area around Muskegon, Mich. He also does part-time development work for Right to Life in Michigan.

Paula (Turner) Fraley is a family care officer and family support officer with the United States Army. She lives in Florida.

After 25 years in hospital nursing, Eileen (Plourde) Gunkel AS now works in a physician's office. She and her husband moved to Barrington, N.H., to be closer to family. In 2002 they celebrated the birth of their first grandson and their 25th wedding anniversary.

Randy Hird BA is the superintendent of Bismarck-Henning CUSD #1 in Bismarck, Ill. Christine (Remole) Hird '75 is a music teacher at St. Paul Grade School in Danville, Ill. They have three sons.

Debbie (Rower) Kinner BA teaches sixth grade at Lapel Elementary School, and Mike Kinner BA, MDiv '81 works at World Gospel Mission. They have three children.

Ann Gossett Gramlich BA is the children's pastor to 700 children at First Church of God in Vero Beach, Fla. Gary Gramlich BA '89 is a children's and creative ministry consulting specialist for his company, The FUN Group. Ann and Gary travel as youth evangelists Graham Cracker and Jam. They celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary this year. They have two children.

Pauline (Dearing) Macchiarella ASN worked as a registered nurse for 22 years in the intensive care unit and cardiology. She is retired and enjoys golf, soccer, bowling, yoga and traveling. She and Michael have been married for 21 years. Michael is an anesthesiologist at Grace Hospital in Detroit. They have two sons.

Greg Meyer BA is the vice president of materials and manufacturing at an electronics firm in Normal, Ill. Marsha (Fox) Meyer BA '79 homeschools their two sons. They also own and operate a small candy business called Two-Bit Treats, Inc., with locations in two malls. Cathi (Bliss) Berg BA is enjoying her son's last year of high school. She works part time at her church.

Victoria Sue (Kujawski) Chapman teaches advanced sight-singing and elementary voice from her home. She has a ministry to churches called See & Sing Ministries (www.see-and-sing.com). "I offer affordable music workshops for larger churches, free to churches with under 50 in their congregation," she explains. "So far I am only available locally in Eastern Virginia."

Cindy Leach BA writes, "Being a single mom to Marisa (7) and Bethany (4) keeps me busy after I work a full day as an operations research scientist at Roadway Express." She also assists with the children's choir at church and plays piano with the orchestra.

Kathy (Stoner) Proctor BA and Bruce Proctor BA '79, MBA '96 have three children. Kathy works part time in adult foster care. She has been diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis but reports that she is doing fine. Bruce works for Great Lakes Printing Solutions. They attend Evangelical Covenant Church and live in Whitehall, Mich.

Sarah Akard Wilson BA announces the birth of Lucille Anna on June 10, 2002. The family lives in Indiana.

Maurice Martineau BA and his wife, Teri, have twin 13-year-old sons. Maurice works in the paper/printing industry, representing International Paper in New Hampshire and Vermont. Teri works in marketing for Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Vermont.

Michael Dockter BA and Cathy (Werner) Dockter BA '89 live near Seattle. Michael is an electronics technician for Philips Medical Systems. Cathy is a bookkeeper at a local Christian school. They have three sons and attend Edmonds Church of God.

Philip Gordon BA was transferred to Fort Wayne, Ind., as director of marketing for Superior Essex. The company is based in Manchester, England, where Philip worked as the European sales and marketing manager. He writes, "I now spend quite a bit of time in China, Taiwan and Korea in business development. I've turned into a 'gym rat' and play racquetball about four times a week."

Debba (Blevins) Haupert BA started her own company, BoBella Craft Marketing and Design (on the Web at www.bobella.com). She does marketing, product development, public relations and design for the craft and hobby industry. She has appeared on the HGTV Carol Duvall Show. Three shows will air in the spring. Her husband, Greg, is a creative director for BI Performance Services and writes corporate videos.

Terry Hoover BA and Cynthia (Daughenbaugh) Hoover AS '80 live in Perrysburg, Ohio. Terry is a district sales manager for Garst Seed Company. He was named coach of the year for the Perrysburg girls' softball league. Cindy is a nurse paralegal at the law firm Shumaker, Loop and Kendrick in Toledo, Ohio. They have three daughters.

Nancy (Dunham) Lake AS, BA has moved to 106 Catherine St., Washington, IL 61571. She has been an oncology nurse for 20 years and continues to enjoy it. She and her husband, Bob, have two sons. Nancy writes, "I would love to hear from classmates and friends!"

Lisa (Watkins) Harris BA teaches fifth grade. She and her husband, Vern, adopted a child, Aimee, from China last year. Aimee is now 2 years old.

Jeff Hayes BA teaches in the traditional and online church ministry program at Warner Southern College. He serves on the national steering committee for SHAPE, a program designed to nurture pastoral excellence. He is married to Karen (Masters) Hayes '79.

Joel Kerich BA and Cornelia (Barnette) Kerich BA '63 are serving with Church of God Ministries Global Outreach in Uganda. Joel works with Ugandan pastors in leadership development. Cornelia is the medical services coordinator for the five clinics under the Church of God. They write, "We would love to have any AU alumni group or individual come either for short work camps or longer. Jennifer (Hughes) Lewis BA is the ministry development staff assistant at the North Indiana Conference office of the United Methodist Church. She teaches an adult Sunday school class and sings on the praise team. Her husband is the lead pastor for First United Methodist Church of Gas City, Ind. They live in Gas City with their daughter, Sarah.

Michelle (Maxson) Luzius is a dental assistant in Battle Creek, Mich. "I still enjoy music and theater, and try to do at least one show a year for our Encore Theater Troop," she writes. Michelle is a children's music leader at her church. She lives in Battle Creek with her husband, Rick, and their dog, cat and goldfish.

Dean May BA is the program director of social work at Western Kentucky University. He and his wife, Laura, live in Bowling Green with their two daughters. "My biggest task these days relates to our attempts at WKU to create a graduate degree in social work," Dean writes.

Becky (Murphy) Cantrell BA is staying home to raise her children. She is active in the Republican Party in Wilson County, Tenn. "I'm the wife of Grand Old Opry announcer and Sirius Satelite Radio announcer, Kyle Cantrell, and am a Pampered Chef consultant," she adds.

Jeff Clendenin BA continues his regular IT management job with Computer Sciences Corporation and serves as a pastoral intern at the Vineyard Church of Columbus, Ohio.

Eddie Cumberbatch BA teaches math and physics at St. Mary's College, an all-boys high school in Port of Spain, Trinidad. He is involved in the school's music program, conducting the choirs and assisting in vocal coaching. "Outside of school, I have been involved in many musical productions, operas, recitals and concerts in Trinidad and Tobago as well as other Caribbean Islands, the United States, Canada and Germany," he writes. He married Rhonda Nelson in 1999. They have a 2-year-old daughter, Elysia Rae.

Jayne Habegger BA left her retail job and is taking graduate courses, teaching ABLE/GED classes, substitute teaching in local schools and participating in her church. She also started selling CUTCO last summer. She lives in Ohio.

Anne (Lawrence) Howard AA, BA received her master's degree in curriculum and teacher leadership with gifted emphasis from Miami University in August. She began a new job as the gifted intervention specialist for Edgewood City Schools in Trenton, Ohio. Her husband, Greg, is a chemical engineer and sales rep for ONDEO Nalco.

John Kane BA is a CPA in Anderson, Ind., with Thomas, Kane, May & Co., LLC. His wife, Susan, is a secretary at East Side Church of God. They have three children.

Diana Focht BA works on the road as an on-the-job training assessor for Applied Interactive Systems, Inc., in Renton, Wash. She is also working toward a career as a professional tour director.

Christina Jackson BA works for Boston-based Aquent, a global creative services firm. Her job includes working with associations, educational institutions and businesses worldwide to co-develop and deliver information, tools, professional resources, and career advancement opportunities to design professionals. During her 17-year career, she has won several awards, including a Clio and the Nashville Diamond Addy award.

Steven Craft is the director of a learning center for Office Depot in Liberty, Mo. He teaches computer classes four days a week and is involved in technology purchases for his region. His wife, Melinda, is a systems administrator for First American Financial in Kansas City, Mo. They have two sons.

Lisa (Biggs) Crum BA lives in Lexington, Ky. She and her husband have one son and are in the process of adopting their foster daughter.

Chadi Melki BA writes, "After a 10-year building period, we moved into our new quarters for Cedar Home, a Church of God home for girls in Lebanon." Chadi is the director of the home. He is the general commissioner for the Lebanese Unionist Scouts, also a Church of God organization.

Brandon Kuhl BA joined the Peace Corps and is a volunteer in Niger, West Africa. He is involved in natural resources work and improving food security for the people in his area. "I live in Nyoumay KaGourou, a village of about 500 Zarma people, and speak the local language," Brandon writes. "Harikanasou, a larger village 11 kilometers to the north of mine is the site of the last population of wild giraffes in the world to live in an unprotected park range. The Peace Corps stopped doing full-time giraffe research a few years ago, but I hope to pick up where they left off, working with a local organization that is getting off the ground."

Sarah Scharbrough McLaughlin BA is pursuing a music career in ministry through worship, performance and songwriting. She is in a group with her husband, drummer Jeff McLaughlin BA '00. Stephanie Frambes MBA married Jeff David on Aug. 10, 2002. Jamie Buntin MBA was a bridesmaid. Stephanie is the director of human resources for Levinson Restaurant Corporation, the Indiana franchisee of T.G.I. Friday's.

Cara (Roberson) Hargett BA and Mitch Hargett BA live in Greenwood, Ind. Cara is a social worker at a nursing home in Indianapolis and Mitch is a manager-in-training at Menards.

Jason Kolkmeier BA is in the physician assistant program at Butler University and works part time in the emergency department at Community Hospital East in Indianapolis.

Monica Mroz BA is a reservoir engineering technician for Chesapeake Energy in Oklahoma City. "Being away from my family in New York and friends from AU has been a challenge, but I have been reminded of how much God blesses your efforts when you step purposefully out of your comfort zone," she writes. She attends Crossings Community Church and mentors a group of ninth-grade girls.

1956 - Jim Sharp BA '52, MDiv and Dorothy (Hardin) Sharp BS '54 are enjoying their retirement in Knoxville, Tenn., where Dorothy can be near her 94-year-old mother. They are active in the First Church of God. Dorothy is the adult coordinator for Christian education activities. Jim teaches Sunday school and is congregational vice chairman and church council chairman.

1958 - David Cox BA '55, MDiv retired as senior pastor at The Church of the Crossing in Indianapolis after 28 years.

1973 - Paul Donihue BA '70, MDiv and Patricia Donihue '69 live in Wooster, Ohio. Paul is a regional sales manager for American Cemetery Services. In 2001, he co-founded the non-profit organization Asia's Hope. The group, in cooperation with New Life Missions of Cambodia, started a Christian orphanage and a center for Christian students going to universities in Cambodia. 1987 - Robert Buehler BA '85, MA pastors Marbury Church of God. He sings with the local community choir and is active in the CDP District of the Church of God, serving on the District Ministries Council. Shannon Buehler BA '79 teaches music and French at St. Mary Star of the Sea School in Indian Head, Md. She directs the sanctuary choir and is active with the local and district Women of the Church of God. They have four sons.

Dave Collett MDiv is pastor at Inter-Community Church of God in Covina, Calif. "We have a unique church with cooperative congregations of English and deaf," he writes. "We share all facilities and have a single board with both deaf and hearing members."

Dale Fontenot MDiv pastors the New Life Church of God in Palmetto, La., and is director of the church's community youth program, Project H.O.P.E. He serves on the Ministries Council for Church of God Ministries.
