David Lynch BTh and his wife, Wanda, will celebrate 50 years of ministry in the Church of God this August. After retiring from East Side Church of God in Anderson, Ind., they moved back to their hometown of Dayton, Ohio, where they now reside. David is doing his fourth interim assignment since returning to Ohio and continues to do correspondence for Bill Gaither.

Johanna (Albrecht) Klinger writes, “Scott and I are all about family. We have 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. I stay busy with our dog, Reggie, and our cat, Rosie, but they are no trouble — they are my gym membership! Currently I’m also writing stories of my family for our grandchildren: The times when my father was a minister of the Church of God in Budapest, Hungary; the trip my mother made from Germany to the United States in 1952; and so on.”

Larry Messick BA began his duties as senior pastor in St. Paris, Ohio, on Feb. 11, 2007. His wife, Jenny, is the victim advocate for the Clark County Prosecutors office. She has been in this field since 1996.

Deb Coulson BA has partnered to build TAG Media Network (www.tagmedianetwork.com), a leading retail television network throughout Asia. The network started in India, and now Deb heads the network expansion in south and northeast Asia. Deb and her husband, David, recently celebrated 20 years of marriage. David is a financial comptroller for a local manufacturing business. They have two daughters, Eva Elisabeth (17), an accomplished equestrian reiner, and Zoe Kurtz (15), a Texas state ranked distance runner. The Coulson family resides in Weatherford, Texas, where Deb bases when she is not on an international flight.
Susan Matisko BA has accepted the position of benefits specialist at St. Joseph Convent in Campellsport, Wis. The convent is a retirement home for the School Sisters of St. Francis.
Donald Noffsinger LLD has written his second book, What Is Eternity? Christian Perspectives Regarding Eternal Life, published by iUniverse in Lincoln, Neb.

Jennifer (Gabe) Ritchie BA is saddened to announce the death of her husband, David W. Ritchie BA ’83, in December 2006 due to Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Jennifer writes, “Thank God for sending our daughter, Jessica Anne Grace, to us in September 2004 shortly before Dave was diagnosed.” Jennifer and Jessica live in Southern California while Jennifer is finishing up a doctorate in psychology at Fuller Theological Seminary.

Scott Christophel BA and Leesa (Bedwell) Christophel BA moved to Rockford, Mich., in December 2005. Their fourth son, Logan, was born Dec. 20, 2006.
Matt Lersch BA and Allison Zentz-Lersch BA relocated from Charlotte, N.C., to Fort Wayne, Ind., in July 2006. Matt is the indirect global sourcing manager for Regal Beloit Electric Motors. They have three children, Ethan (10), Olivia (8), and Samuel (4). Though they miss their friends in North Carolina, they are happy that their children can spend more quality time with their grandparents and other relatives.
Erin (Moore) Socha BA and Jerry Socha ’92 announce the adoption of their fourth son, Eli Joseph Van-Voi, from Vietnam. Erin writes, “He is 10 years old, and we are praising God for finally bringing him home to our family after four long years of waiting.” Eli joins their three other internationally adopted sons, Andy (12), John (8), and Paul (6). Erin has recently rejoined the workforce as a pre-school teacher at a Christian daycare center.

Melanie (Giffen) Barnes writes, “On May 5, 2006, I experienced both tragedy and joy. My grandmother, who had been ill for some time, passed away at 9:54 a.m. My precious daughter, Millie, was born at 12:54 p.m. that same day. God truly blessed our family by taking away and giving a new life to replace that life that was lost. I thank God for my Millie. God certainly works in mysterious and wonderful ways.”

George Kahaleh BA ’90, MBA and Tasha (Senne) Kahaleh BA ’94 have moved back to the United States, where George continues to work for Michelin Tire. The last three and a half years, they have lived in Clermont-Ferrand, France. During that time, George had the opportunity to present to Jerry Fox’s international business class twice in Paris. The Kahaleh family now lives in Greenville, S.C., where George is working at Michelin’s North American headquarters. He manages sales and support team focusing on strategic customers in North America. George and Tasha have two boys, Antoine, 8, and Carl, 6.

Brock Rumer BA married Anne Nichols on April 4, 2004, in Indianapolis. The ceremony was officiated by Ade Olonoh BS ’00. Brock and Anne live in Chicago, where Brock is a senior information architect at Avenue A/Razorfish. He is also pursuing a master’s degree in human/computer interaction at DePaul University. Anne is the assistant lead keeper of carnivores at the Lincoln Park Zoo. In 2006 they purchased a loft in the Printer’s Row neighborhood of Chicago, an area just south of the Loop. They love their child-free lifestyle in the very heart of the city and share their home with two cats and a dog named Steve.
Heather Willems BSN moved to Santa Rosa, Calif., where she is the clinical architect on the Care ReDesign project at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital. Care ReDesign’s purpose is to implement technologies that promote patient safety and improve efficiency through improved workflow and automation of processes to increase the time that caregivers spend at the patient’s bedside. Jill (Leiter) Kramer BA and her husband, Michael, announce the birth of a daughter, Sophia Marie, on Sept. 20, 2006. Jill writes that their son, Jacob, is very proud of his baby sister. Jill went back to work five days after the birth of her daughter. She explains, “It’s only a few hours a week, and she goes with me. Jacob stays with his Grandpa.”

Corrine and Steve live in Fort Collins, Colo., working with a church plant from Muncie, Ind. They lead junior high and high school youth at their church. Corrine finished her master’s degree in social work in May 2006 and commutes to north Denver for work at an elementary school as a school-based therapist.

Jennifer Nicholas BA served as a business trainer for the Peace Corps in Benin, West Africa, from 2003-05. She is now a director of sales and marketing for a growing start-up company in Seattle, Wash. Jenni Snyder BA married Joel Westman BA ’06 on May 27, 2006, at North Anderson Church of God. Eighteen alumni, mainly family, were involved in the ceremony and reception. Jenni and Joel reside in Anderson, Ind., with their 3-year-old Cocker Spaniel, Rusty. Jenni teaches music at East Elementary in Pendleton. Joel is the manager of Sears Portrait Studio in Noblesville.

DeeDee Engelman BA writes that she has graduated from the Montgomery Police Academy at the top of her class with an academic average of 99.18 percent. She adds, “I am honored to now say I am a police officer. I would like to thank the entire criminal justice and sociology department of AU, who taught me so much on my way to accomplishing my dreams.”
Sarah Kincheloe BA is a graduate assistant for the Ball State Alumni Association and a writer for the Ball State Alumnus magazine. She completes her master’s degree in public relations this summer.

Frederick Clemens BA ’68, MDiv has begun a ministry with the Latham United Methodist Church in Huntsville, Ala. His ministry will involve preaching and assisting in other ministry for the church. He writes, “I’m thankful, after 38 years of ministry, that the Lord still has me in a place of service to the church. I feel blessed to be here.” He and his wife, Becky, who is a speech pathologist, are in their fourth year of living in Huntsville and in their 24th year of marriage.
Paul Ramsey BA ’88, MDiv and his wife, Kelly, welcomed a son, Noah Thomas, on June 18, 2005. He was welcomed home by a brother and sister, Andrew and Alexandra, both age five.
